CLINICAL STUDY OF INTERMITTENT POSITIVE PRESSURE BREATHING
Principal Investigator: Elizabeth C. Wright, Ph.D The Clinical Study of Intermittent Positive Pressure Breathing was a randomized, controlled, multicenter clinical trial of 985 subjects to evaluate methods of delivery of a bronchodilator to subjects with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. The study found no advantages of IPPB over compressor nebulizer therapy in reducing mortality or hospitalizations or improving lung function or quality of life.
